Yonge-Dundas Square was absolutely packed last Thursday for the Official Scotiabank Caribana Launch. With the heat that day, it "felt" like we really were in the Caribbean!

The costumes this year are really looking fabulous and kudos to all the guys and gals who posed for a long time around the stage as we listened to various comments from dignitaries.

Last Saturday we had a little preview of the big parade at the Kiddies Carnival. Those kids were super pumped and super cute; embracing their culture and having a great time. Up next:

- Caribana Gala on July 23rd at Liberty Grand

- Kaiso 365 Calypso Monarch Finals on July 24th at The Ontario Science Centre

-King and Queen of the Bands on July 29th at Lamport Stadium- *This is one of my favourite Cariban events. I'll be there front and centre

- Pan Alive competition on July 30th also at Lamport Stadium

- The big parade on July 31st at Exhibition Place and Lakeshore Blvd

Sooo lots to look forward to and you can bet CP24 is going to be bringing you all the excitement.

Also don't forget Thursday July 22nd from 11:30pm to 2pm , we're having our big "Feel de vibe" bbq/Block in our parking lot at 299 Queen St. West.

I'm working on a couple of special things as part of our Caribana coverage. I'll tell you more about it by the end of this week. Big things!

Have a great week!

Much love,

Nneka
