Well February is here. The month of love, the groundhog and yes Black History Month.
I’ve got some pretty exciting news to pass along. I am on the Black History Poster for the City of Toronto! The theme this year is “The next generation” and I’m honoured to have even been considered and I share this honour along with some other great trailblazers in their respective fields. I’m told it will be in a number of number of classrooms and police stations. A group of us, along with some children from The Children's Breakfast Club will be heading to Parliament Hill on Wednesday to launch the poster.
There are so many great exhibits, shows and other events happening around the city to mark Black History month. CP24 will also be doing our part. Look out for some special promos recognizing the significant contributions of some Torontonians of African descent.

Toronto Public Health, Peer Nutrition Program and community partners from the African Food Basket and Park, Forestry and Recreation will discuss Food Security and the Community Garden Program. Participants of the Peer Nutrition Program are invited to bring their family and friends for a cooking demonstration of some common Caribbean and Canadian winter vegetables.
