I spent this past weekend becoming a certified wedding planner.

It was a fantastic course run through WPIC-The Wedding Planners Institute of Canada.  For anybody in event planning or wanting to run a home-based business, it is a wonderful way to explore what is estimated to be a billion dollar industry.

Most of us make resolutions as we head into a new year and mine for 2010 was to challenge myself with learning something new and being able to transfer that to our viewers.

I love organizing and what could be more fun than planning what for most people is the most important day in their life.  Plus, I have found that being a planner allows you such creativity-from picking a venue to floral decoration-just helping someone realize their dream day is a privilege.
