Just finished looking at our very emotional but inspiriring Remembrance Day coverage. We remember and honor those who have died or put their lives at risk for the freedoms we enjoy today. It shall not be forgotten.

The coverage today also got me thinking about our war veterans and where some of them came from. It got me thinking about our Black Canadian Soldiers. We very seldom hear about them and other visible minorities.

I just thought I would provide this bit of Canadian history for those of you who were, like me, curious.

Take a look at these links:

With more indepth research I am sure there is a lot more I could pass on. This is a start and if this peaks your interest I encourage you to do research of your own.

We shouldn't forget that our history is the bridge to our future.

Much Love,
